Dr. Rhett Richardson opened his private practice, under the name of Spec's Vision Heart, in March of 1990. He wanted to accept a more than personal office in his patient's heart intendance needs and found that this was the all-time way to provide quality eyewear at an affordable price for any budget. Dr. Richardson retired in June of 2018 and Eye Guys proudly became the new owners.

Being independently owned allows u.s. to provide a variety of state-of-the-art eyeglass lens at a value, all with excellent patient care and customer service. It is our priority that yous take the clearest vision possible and we have the time to ensure your prescription and comfort are tailored specifically to your needs. We are able to supply customers with the frames that fit their preference, from unique or vintage looks, to the latest trends in eyewear manner.

James C. Lockwood M.D.
The newest EYE GUY is board-certified eye surgeon, James C. Lockwood, MD. Dr. Lockwood is a welcomed addition to our growing medical staff and currently spends the bulk of his time seeing patients in our Aiken, SC office. Dr. Lockwood received his Bachelor of Arts from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC and graduated Cum Laude from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. He completed his internship at Emory Academy School of Medicine and his ophthalmology residency at the Emory Center Center. While at Emory, Dr. Lockwood presented his inquiry on cataract and refractive surgery at national ophthalmology meetings and published multiple papers.

Dr. Lockwood is Lath Certified by the American Lath of Ophthalmology and is an agile fellow member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Guild of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Georgia Social club of Ophthalmology, and the American Medical Association. He is certified in the latest cataract and refractive surgery technology including LenSx laser cataract surgery and all-light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation LASIK with the WaveLight Refractive Suite with WaveNet engineering science.

Dr. Lockwood was drawn to the Center GUYS for our focus on compassionate patient care, avant-garde engineering, and excellent outcomes. He continues the tradition of professionalism for which the EYE GUYS are known and patients are benefiting greatly from his comprehensive preparation, noesis, and experience.

SarahArtrip

Dr. Sarah Artrip
Dr. Sarah Artrip joined the Centre Guys in 2021 and specializes in comprehensive eye intendance. Dr. Artrip has extensive feel in medical optometry, with an accent on diabetic eye exams, dry eye, macular degeneration, glaucoma, post-surgical management, emergency centre intendance and fittings of conventional, disposable and specialty contact lenses. She received her Bachelors of Science and Biology from Emory & Henry College, Emory, Virginia and obtained an Optometric Doctorate from Nova Southeastern College of Optometry. Dr. Artrip has been practicing Optometry since 2014 and is licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina. She is an active member of the American Optometric Clan, the Georgia Optometric clan and the Due south Carolina Optometric Association.

Opticians

Ronnie Williams, L.D.O.
Ronnie Williams was born in Augusta and graduated from Evans Loftier Schoolhouse. He started in the optical profession in June of 1977 at a local wholesale laboratory.

In August of 1979, Ronnie began working in the retail optical profession. He has been with Spec'south as a licensed optician and the vice president of operations since January of 1990. He is licensed in both Georgia and S Carolina and his licensing is through the Board of Opticianry and is a member of the South Carolina Association of Opticians.

Michelle Ennis, L.D.O.
Michelle Ennis has been working at Spec's since 1999. She is a member of the S Carolina Association of Opticians. A graduate of Due south Aiken High School, Ennis received her American Opticinary licencse in 2004 and her optician's license in 2005.

Cataracts
